New Wave Music Festival Fashion Show

The New Wave Fashion Show is an exposure event designed to benefit models of all levels! We are bringing music collectives, artists, models, fashion designers, influencers, etc from all over Michigan into one area. In short, it is a cultural networking mixing pot. 

Application and Selection Process:

All aspiring models 18 and older are invited to register.

There is a registration fee to participate in the New Wave Fashion Show.

After sending in your portfolio, you will receive a link to register for the New Wave Fashion Show on our website. The funds go towards putting on the fashion show! 

Collaboration with Featured Vendors:

- Models may have the opportunity to collaborate with our featured vendors.

- Vendors can bid to have their clothing showcased by particular models on the runway.

- Models who agree to wear a particular vendor's clothes will keep the bid money paid by the vendor.

Fashion Styles and Individual Waves:

The fashion show will feature distinctive waves, each showcasing different styles:

 - Festival Fashion Wave

 - Slow/re-worked Fashion Wave

 - Street Fashion Wave

 - Vintage Fashion Wave

 - Free Flow Expression Wave (where models can wear anything of their choosing)

Observation Points:

 1. Creativity:

     - Originality in showcasing personal style.

     - Innovative approaches to presenting the chosen fashion style.

 2. Confidence:

     - Poise and self-assurance on the runway.

     - Ability to carry and present the chosen fashion style with confidence.

 3. Stage Presence:

     - Engagement with the audience during the runway walk.

     - Charisma and the ability to captivate the audience's attention.

 4. Adaptability:

     - Capability to adapt to different fashion styles.

     - Effective collaboration with featured vendors.

 5. Interpretation of Style:

     - How well the model interprets and embodies the essence of the chosen fashion style.

     - Cohesiveness in presenting the selected garments and accessories.

 6. Interaction with Vendors:

     - Professionalism and positive collaboration with featured vendors.

     - Ability to effectively showcase and promote the vendor's clothing on the runway.

 7. Overall Impact:

     - The overall impact of the model's presentation on the runway.

     - The lasting impression left on the audience and judges.
